Holy Week Art

Pastels, smudging, merging, charcoal, messy hands, sleeves rolled up, CHAOS (in the best way possible)!

Today was a powerful end to our RE unit on Salvation. We brainstormed everything we had learnt about Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday, including key words, emotions, possible colours and symbolism to consider what a piece of art would look like to reflect one of these three particular days. The artwork speaks for itself. The children were so reflective with choosing and explaining their card choices; colours of pastels and what symbolic imagery they were choosing to use.
